The Profile

The JBS Edition features our new Wear Ready profile, which requires virtually no shaping, with a lower 4 1/8” cattleman crown and a 4 1/4” shovel front brim.

The Details

This limited edition is handmade in Texas, woven from 50X quality shantung straw which is prized for its lightweight feel and unbeatable resilience. It features a custom saddle leather hat band with matching leather sweatband and a special gold-tone JBS branding iron hat pin with inset stones.

Featuring a signature venting pattern inspired by the Colorado Rockies, where John B. Stetson created his first-ever hat.

In 1862, while out west searching for gold, Stetson and his party were trapped in a storm at the base of Pikes Peak, on the southern front range of the Colorado Rockies. It was there he crafted his first western hat, which a passing stranger offered a $5 gold piece for. It was the first hat Stetson ever sold. Three years later, in 1865, the John B. Stetson Company was born.
